"Little Maid" has won Best in Show at the 2019 St. Charles Art Guild's Juried Exhibition in New Orleans, LA!
This little portrait began as a study in the use of the Zorn palette for painting flesh tones. The more I worked on it, the more I liked the way the portrait turned out. I was drawn to her sweet expression, and the abstract quality of her white blouse.
