oak trees, landscape, bird girl, midnight in the garden of good and evil, heron, louisiana
Oil on canvas
30" x 22"

Live Oak trees are a common sight in Louisiana, but they are far from common in their beauty. These magnificent trees are breathtaking in their size, appearance, and lifespan. They can live hundreds of years and are renown for their extraordinary strength and resilience.
The client requested a painting that featured these beautifully arching trees, a pair of herons, and the Bird Girl statue, made famous by being pictured on the cover of the best-selling novel, "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil."
The composition evokes a sense of dreaminess and tranquility, hence the title.

This painting was a private commission and is sold.
