Ty the Doberman was a beloved pet and support animal. He and his brother, Apollo, shared their love and loyalty with their human, Kiko. When Ty died suddenly at the end of 2021, a good friend of theirs asked me to paint a portrait of Ty and Kiko as a special momento. I was very happy to do so. I had a Doberman of my own in the past, and he was a truly wonderful boy, so I felt a kinship with this painting.
