This painting was commissioned as a gift to the former owner of Abita Lumber Co. in Abita Springs, Louisiana. The owner and her husband built this successful, respected business over a period of 30 years. When she retired and sold the business, my best friend and real estate agent, Cheryl, asked me to create a painting of the outside of the building as a keepsake for the former owner.
