One of my fondest memories from my childhood years was going to City Park and riding on the carousel, affectionately called "The Flying Horses." I still love carousels even though I'm not a kid anymore! These happy memories were the motivation to paint these colorful horses from the City Park carousel.
This painting won Second Place at the annual St. Charles Art Guild Exhibition and Sale held in New Orleans in August, 2016.
